More than 20% of inpatients at Guy’s and St.Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust have diabetes, which puts them at higher risk for complications during their stay in hospital. Guy’s and St.Thomas’ have adopted the ThinkGlucose toolkit to help ward staff manage patients’ blood glucose and act appropriately.

The module includes a short video introducing the toolkit and demonstrating how to use the blood glucose monitoring chart and guidelines. This is followed by a guided tutorial to practice using the toolkit.
